Do you know that old expression - when you start dating someone you suddenly have little time for anything else? Okay so maybe that's not actually an expression but let's get real, we all know that it happens. I'm not saying that it's necessarily good or bad, healthy? Probably not entirely, impossible to avoid when you have deep feelings for the person? Yeah, pretty much. Aside from that I have to be honest and admit that my creative juices haven't been flowing at the pace they normally do. That is not to say that I'm lacking inspiration but rather motivation to act on my inspirations. Along with the fact that Seattle's weather never seems to be as nice on the weekend as it is during the work week (woe's of a typical 9-5er), I just couldn't work myself up enough to pulling out the camera and documenting a day.
Enough explaining, I have finally done it! This past Saturday was intended for recovery from Friday...but we managed to keep busy of course. On fairly empty bellies we made the trek up to Capitol Hill from Pioneer Square; not something I normally complain about. However, we were on a major time crunch which resulted in tired feet and sweaty backs (sorry for the gross details). It may not look like it, but man it was toasty on Saturday. Here's the thing about spring in Seattle, it feels nice outside but chances are there will be more overcast/rainy days than blue skies. Honestly, I don't mind; I'm just happy that the shivering can come to an end.
Up on the hill we watched a friend compete in a Lindy-Hop dance competition at the Century Ballroom. When I was little my sister and I attempted to learn to Swing dance properly; it was loads of fun and being at that competition this weekend was incredible and made me want to get into it again! After leaving Century Ballroom we popped into Linda's Tavern for brunch...I would have loved to snap some evidence of our delicious meals but remember the part where I mentioned empty bellies? Yeah, they make for quickly-emptied plates. Sorry all, next time. These pictures are outside of some collegiate looking building across the street. I want to say Seattle U but sadly I cannot confirm.

Introducing my dear friend Kaisha (you may have seen her on my sisters blog: ROM )
and drum roll please................
My gorgeous boyfriend the one who's been consuming all of my time lately. This 7-foot, basketball playing, rap music bumping, potty mouth knew all the words to Come on Eileen the other night...it's true love.
Until next time,
xx
