Me Time

As if I needed any more of it. I find myself experiencing "me time" more often then not. But hey such is the life of a homebody. Today is Sunday and if there ever was a day more perfect for some quality bonding with myself this would be the day.

I had the apartment to myself while my sister was at work so I took advantage of it by waking up early to practice my pathetic egg cooking skills-while I'm still perfecting that let me remind you that this, similar to Planet Fitness, is a judgement free zone!

Then I tidied house, this I chose not to document because lets face it, what's interesting about seeing me fold laundry and load the dishwasher? Afterwards I gave myself a well deserved pedicure. Last week I started a new job (woohoo) which has been wonderful, however I have been seriously neglecting my body and some pampering is in dire need! Hence bath time; I love bubble baths especially LUSH filled ones!

Soaking in the tub with a good book is the perfect Sunday ritual...along with some tunes of course. Lately Lorde has been on repeat on my iPod. I love her song 400 Lux and Team. Then it was lunch time-Boca Burger with cheese and bacon...yeah it's contradictory so what!? I can indulge in a vegan burger topped with cheesy, meaty goodness if I like.

How did you spend your Sunday? Hopefully it was as relaxing as mine, after all tomorrow's Monday which means work, classes, responsibilities...yuck.

Morning Dash

What better way to begin a day off than by running some quick errands around town? There is something that I love about being productive at an hour when not many other people are out on the streets. Call me crazy but nothing relaxes me more than getting out of bed early and dropping something off at the post, or depositing a check, or getting first dibs at the local supermarket. Ahhh its the final days of summer and while the weather is particularly warm outside, the produce guy is misting the asparagus and it feels heavenly as I walk by. Creepy! I know, but what's a girl to do, hide my pure joy of ticking off each small little task on my list? I think NOT! On this morning (which I believe was last Thursday...I know late post) I sported a scrimmage-esque style cutoff tee, with of course mom jeans because to be honest nothing made more sense than mom jeans for a morning spent doing things mom would be proud of.
